Only 4% of Venezuelans are Protestant, 84% Roman Catholic, and 12% are either atheist or of other faiths. Maduro maintains he is Christian, but he follows most closely an East Indian Hindu guru, the late Sathya Sai Baba, who said he was the reincarnation of another spiritual leader.

Eternity Now has reached nearly 170,000 Nicaraguans this year, a significant share of its population of 7 million. Nicaragua's communist government now is torturing those taken prisoner for their faith, with Pres. Daniel Ortega increasingly targeting the 22% of citizens who are Protestant in addition to the large contingent of Roman Catholics.
Over 240 Protestant churches have been closed by the communists this year, and more than 1,000 other religious groups are now banned. The government first went after Catholics in 2018 as a "destabilizing force" and now is even stopping Bibles from coming into the country.

| | The Iran War: Armageddon in the Offing? | | |
In just under 2 weeks, the situation in the Middle East has moved from tense to all-out war, with over 1,600 people killed, the vast majority Iranians. Together with biased news media speculating about a U.S. draft - wildly premature - some Christians wonder how close the end might be.
The conflict so far does sound like the earliest days of what will be the second world war in The Tribulation. That is described in Revelation 9 and Ezekiel 38.
The areas involved are, today, overwhelmingly Muslim, including Iran, Turkey, Sudan, and more. That conflict concludes with Antichrist going into a rebuilt Jewish temple in Jerusalem and demanding worship as Almighty God (2 Thessalonians 2:3-4), followed by his mark becoming required to buy or sell (Revelation 13:16-18).
The Bible says 1/4 of Earth's population will have died in the first round of God's judgment in The Tribulation, which would be 2 billion people under current global figures. The second round, featuring the Israel-centered war, will claim another 1/3, or 2 billion more. That puts the planet's population at only 4 billion with Armageddon still to go.
The good news is The Rapture will take place before any of the three rounds of God's judgment conclude (1 Thessalonians 4:13-5:11). Be sure to spread the Word on salvation ... the time left is very short.
