At Iowa State University, the spirit of appreciation and gratitude is alive and well, and the yearly #CyThx campaign is designed to shine a spotlight on those who make a difference in our lives. It's a simple way to say thank you to the people who have made a positive impact on your day, your semester, or even your life.

#CyThx is a collaborative recognition project between the Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT), Graduate and Professional Student Senate, ISU Learning Communities, Multicultural Student Affairs, Student Engagement, Student Government, and Student Union Board.

This year, we collected over 1900 #CyThx submissions representing 171 units at Iowa State.

New for 2024

CELT Excellence in the Scholarship

of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) Award

Open to all Iowa State faculty members (both term and tenure-track) or P&S employees with teaching appointments who meet the following requirements:

• Attended one CELT-sponsored workshop/program in the last two years.
• Iowa State employees at the time of the CELT Celebration (April 2024).
• Nominations from colleagues, department chairs/supervisors, and self-nominations are welcome and encouraged.

Successful awardees will receive a $1,500 one-time stipend and be recognized at the CELT Celebration on April 4, 2024. Submit your nomination by January 19, 2024.

We are hosting university-wide online synchronous offerings of the ISU Annual Student-Centered Learning Workshop (AY23-24) for faculty unable to attend their departmental one. To register, pick the date that works best for you and fill out the Zoom form that matches it:

• January 11, 2024, 11 A.M. – P.M.
• January 24, 2024, 3 – 4 P.M.
• January 29, 2024, 2 – 3 P.M.

We will present at the ISU Health and Wellbeing Symposium on February 2nd during an afternoon concurrent session.
