Our first mission team of 2024 has just returned home from 10 beautiful days serving in Kenya! The team of 17 (including 7 teenagers!) visited both Subukia and Riabai where medical clinics and children’s ministry were hosted, all while sharing the gospel.
The medical clinics saw close to 1,500 patients! An additional 48 women received breast and cervical cancer screening, and 814 people received glasses. Patients who visited the clinics were given both curative and preventative care, including laboratory and pharmaceutical services, ensuring comprehensive care was provided to all community members.
This trip’s children’s ministry reached nearly 3,000 children from six different schools! The kids were given goodie bags of candy, crayons and stickers, and played various sports with the mission team. The team also put on a play of the Bible story in Mark 2, highlighting the value of bringing your friends to Jesus, as well as sharing testimonies, the gospel and songs with the Kenyan children.
Throughout the trip, 22 people asked to be saved and were prayed with. Local Kenyan pastors worked alongside the mission team throughout the trip and were able to meet and invite countless individuals to visit their churches and explore their faith.
This trip was a resounding success and without your generosity, mission trips like this wouldn’t be possible. Thousands of lives were touched and forever changed because of YOU. Students were introduced to Jesus, families heard the gospel, patients left clinics with hope and smiles.
