In June, 2023 we issued an urgent call to action to all levels of government to join OBOT in declaring Downtown Ottawa a top priority. You can read the full announcement here and OBOT President's remarks here.

Since then we have continued to work with business leaders on our OBOT economic development committee, convene local stakeholders and engage subject matter experts to build on the action plan and design the roadmap for transformation. We are encouraged by the leveling up of the work being done on this opportunity and look forward to providing another update at the downtown summit this fall.

Meanwhile, we are pleased to see the success of many events and projects moving forward. Congratulations to the leaders and organizers of events like Bluesfest and the upcoming Ottawa Asian Festival, to name just a few.
