About the Program

Canadian immigration attorney, Maggie Stewart will provide an in-depth CLE on the Canadian immigration laws that restrict entry to Canada, with an emphasis on issues facing professionals involved in the cannabis industry. This CLE will examine the legal foundation of relevant Canadian immigration laws, the types of arrests and convictions that will affect entry to Canada, and the options for applying for waivers and permanent clearance to Canada. There will be time for questions and to discuss strategies for ensuring that your clients have a smooth entry to Canada.

This program is presented by the Cannabis Law Section, chaired by Josh Zetlin and co-sponsored by the Immigration Law Section, chaired by Ali Brodie. Find out more about the sections at www.bhba.org.
