HONORING EMS

Join us as we bless the City of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County Emergency Medical Service (EMS) first responders for their service in reviving overdoses, attending to alcoholics, and saving lives.

As a special Thank You, CLEAR members who honor the City of Pittsburgh EMS.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE!

DO YOU KNOW WHY PEOPLE LEAVE STONES ON GRAVES?

It is a Jewish tradition to place stones on a loved one's grave that dates back to biblical times. The Talmud says a person's soul dwells in the grave where they are buried.

Visitors will place a stone on the grave to mark their visit which can bring comfort to family and friends knowing their loved one was remembered. The stones are symbols of your memories and love for the departed.

International Overdose Awareness Day

is a global event held each year that aims to

raise awareness of drug overdoses on August 31st by

Pennington Institute

For over a decade, the community of greater Pittsburgh has gathered to commemorate International Overdose Awareness Day in late August, pledging to remember those who have died from addiction, to pray and support first responders in their life-saving work, and to surround surviving family and friends with care.

While Allegheny County deaths by overdoses have decreased by over 50% from their peak in 2017, the county lost 344 residents last year. Imagine one person every day passing away from an overdose —each one a beloved child of God.

Addiction in all its forms continues to devastate lives and strain family and community relationships. With your help, we can combat addiction.

If overdose or addiction has touched your life,

you are not alone!
