Overnight Ramp Closure from Westbound Dulles Toll Road to I-495 North Scheduled Tonight and Sunday Through Tuesday Nights, Nov. 10-12

Motorists Should Follow Posted Detour to Access I-495 North; 

Expect Continued Nighttime Ramp Closure and Detour in Weeks Ahead

FAIRFAX, VA – The on-ramp from the westbound Dulles Toll Road (Route 267) to northbound I-495 (Capital Beltway Inner Loop) is scheduled to be closed during overnight hours tonight, Friday, Nov. 8, Sunday night, Nov. 10, Monday night, Nov. 11, and Tuesday night, Nov. 12, to allow crews to conduct milling and paving work as part of the 495 NEXT project. The ramp will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning. Triple lane closures will also be in place on northbound I-495 in the project corridor during the same times for paving work. Drivers are advised that this same ramp closure will occur periodically over the coming weeks for continued construction. 

Motorists traveling on westbound Dulles Toll Road who wish to access northbound I-495 when the ramp is closed will be detoured as follows:


  • Exit onto southbound Route 123 (Exit 19A)
  • Continue on Route 123 to access the on-ramp to northbound I-495 toward Rockville/Baltimore


Drivers traveling on southbound Route 123 will continue to the exit for northbound I-495 toward Rockville/Baltimore.
