Own Hurt!!!??? 3/2/22

OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Whatever happened “to a man/woman's WORD being their BOND?????”
Please read the Scriptures AGAIN-
“HE THAT SWEARETH TO HIS OWN HURT, AND CHANGETH NOT!!”
I (painfully) felt led of the Lord to preach on this Holy Word today, but as so often is the case, did not want to expose my human frailty AGAIN!
A few weeks ago I “stumbled” across a possible lucrative business deal not without significant risk. To hedge my bet I consulted and contracted with another person to lessen my risk.
I proposed a deal to him that on the surface did not make business sense to those wiser and more subtle than I, but I made the deal “in good faith.”
When such a wiser business person confronted me on my “error” I simply replied,
“HE THAT SWEARETH TO HIS OWN HURT, AND CHANGETH NOT!!”
Ya see, my beloved brethren WE not only have to give ACCOUNT to the IRS and the government for our transactions, WE also must give an account to GOD!!!!!
“HE THAT SWEARETH TO HIS OWN HURT, AND CHANGETH NOT!!”
If WE say we are going to do something, then WE must do it!!
Psalm 75:6-7 (KJV)
6 For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.
7 But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.
As I meditated on what to preach today, my dear son Joshua called from prison.
For whatever reason, he has been denied the use of a computer tablet given freely to all the other inmates in his prison cell until the end of 2023!!!!
Joshua Drucker is a gifted man of God who writes powerful messages for God that many of us enjoy and are enriched thereby-perhaps you also have wondered why he so rarely posts his messages anymore.
His only recourse is to hand write his messages in the hope/PRAYER that I or somebody else will transpose to type and post.
As I was eating lunch today, he called and I asked him why he did not just buy or use another inmate's tablet to write his Christian messages.
His reply stunned me and assured me that what I am writing today in “of God.”
He said, “Dad, all of the other inmate's tablets are “jail broke” and I cannot use them or use an illegal cell phone to preach God's Truth.”
For those of us who do not know what “jail broke” means is that these computer tablets are designed to not allow inmates to access social media or contact the free world.
Same with cell phones-they are illegal in prison and not allowed to be in possession or use for any inmate.
“HE THAT SWEARETH TO HIS OWN HURT, AND CHANGETH NOT!!”
