Thank you for a great year!
We would like to take a moment to thank all our partners who have joined our initiative to increase Black and African American homeownership. Thanks to your efforts and collaboration, we have been able to share homebuying resources, services, and networks with Black and African American Coloradans. We’d also like to thank anyone who attended our homebuyer workshops and took a moment to share your questions with us. We look forward to moving this initiative forward in 2024 and hope you will once again join us on this mission—we cannot do it alone!

Through community engagement, CHFA and stakeholders recommended the following strategic pillars to address homeownership equity. | |
education
Book an Own Your Tomorrow Homebuyer Workshop
This summer, we launched the Own Your Tomorrow education series, kicking off with four in-community workshops, helping over 75 prospective homebuyers.
Attendees connected with CHFA, as well as community-based housing counselors, lenders, and real estate professionals to learn how to build their “homebuying team” and have direct conversations about various financial and educational homebuyer resources.
If you’d like to inquire about hosting a workshop for your community, please contact the Own Your Tomorrow team.

Colorado Black Roundtable (CBRT)
Gaining Ground in The Black Community Social Equity Summit
Greg Brown, CHFA Business Development Specialist, was proud to present on the Housing Panel at the CBRT Gaining Ground in the Black Community Social Equity Summit. This four-day event (October 19-22) provided an opportunity for the Black community to have positive discussions on community issues, as well as hear proposals and recommendations for action and real community change.
Greg discussed CHFA’s initiative to increase Black homeownership, including down payment programs, homebuyer workshops, and other homebuying resources. In closing, he encouraged the community to believe that homeownership is possible.
