Western Michigan University Cooley Law School
Western Michigan University Cooley Law School is unlike any other law school in the nation. First, it is one of the largest law schools, second only to Georgetown University. Second, it has multiple locations — four in Michigan and one in Tampa, Fla.
But it is the school's mission that truly sets it apart. WMU-Cooley is committed to providing a legal education to people from all walks of life. It was founded in 1972 with the premise that the practice of law should not be an elitist profession. to achieve its purpose, it has historically used an admissions plan designed to give everyone, even those students with lower LSAT scores, a chance.
