“I am delighted and honored to lead the P&G Alumni Foundation in this next chapter. I am inspired by: 1) the mission - to economically empower individuals and families in need; 2) the people – each grant-awarded nonprofit has an active P&G alumni volunteer in leadership as a force for good; and 3) the multiplier effect – the opportunity to have greater impact in the world together than we could individually.” – Sarah Woods
In December, Sarah worked alongside Marianne Iyer, the Foundation’s first Executive Director, to ensure a seamless transition. Marianne is credited with successfully establishing the Foundation’s proof-of-concept and global infrastructure. According to Ed Tazzia, Chairman of the Network Board, “We have been exceptionally fortunate as Marianne was exactly the person we needed at the exact time we needed her. In all the years I’ve worked with her, Marianne has always been positive and did whatever it took because she firmly believes in our vision, impact, and people.” Marianne will remain an advisor and volunteer on special projects.
We do what we do because we believe in the talent and collective power of the 35,000+ globally connected P&G alumni to give back. To date, the Foundation has raised $2 million in gifts and future commitments and has awarded over $1.3 million in grants to 60 different non-profits across 25+ countries. And we’ve only just begun!
