Summertime Award

To earn the Summertime Award patch, your Cub Scout needed to attend at least three summer events. Parents are responsible for submitting attendance in Scoutbook to ensure proper tracking and record keeping.

Unsure how to mark these events complete?

  • Navigate to https://advancements.scouting.org/ > Youth Profile within the left column
  • Under electives, select Summertime Fun
  • Select the 3 activity drop downs, and manually type in the event attended
  • Do the same for any additional electives that your Cub Scout may have completed over the summer (e.g. swimming, boating, fishing events)
  • Cub Adventure Camp participants also completed shooting and camping awards.

Please submit in Scoutbook in order to be recognized and receive awards.

Mentoring Opportunities

Exciting News: New Mentoring Opportunities in Our Pack!

We’re thrilled to announce three new mentoring programs designed to make Cub Scouting even more welcoming and successful for everyone:

  • New Family Mentors – Experienced Cub Scout families will be paired with new families to help answer questions, share tips, and make sure everyone feels at home in our pack.
  • Den Leader Mentors – Current or past den leaders will be available to support new den leaders with resources, planning ideas, and encouragement as they take on this important role.
  • Committee Member Mentors – Experienced committee members will guide new members in learning how our pack operates, ensuring everyone feels confident contributing their skills.

These mentor programs will help strengthen our pack community, improve communication, and make the Cub Scout journey smoother for all.

Interested in learning more about the programs? Submit your interest here!

If you’d like to get involved as a mentor—or if you’re new and would like to be paired with one, please reach out to Committee Chair, Paula Gordon.

Note from the Cubmaster

Welcome back Cub Scouts!

I hope you are excited about a new year of scouting, adventures, friendship, and more!

We have another fun filled year of amazing team building activities planned and I hope to see you all at as many as possible.

Parents: as this year begins, take a few minutes one night this week (between school and sporting events), to talk with your scout(s) about what they like most about scouting, and what they can get out of it this year. Is it developing their confidence public speaking, meeting new friends, taking leadership roles in activities, or just enjoying their time and going with the flow (that’s ok too!).

Scouting is what you make of it. We have done our best to create events and opportunities that they wont be able to experience elsewhere, and I hope you will take advantage of these opportunities.

And….dont forget….we’re always on the lookout to award challenge coins for those scouts who go above and beyond!

Looking forward to seeing everyone back

Yours in scouting,

Brian Sullivan
