This Month’s Key Planning Priority

It feels like a fresh start! For the first time, in a few years, we're back to in-person learning at school. That's why it's a great opportunity to think about our goals and to start creating plans to achieve them!

This month we’re sharing resources that can help parents and guardians think about a vision for their child's future and how educators and families can work together to support students to be successful.

Nawin is a young professional from Toronto, Ontario. When Nawin was in high school he "wanted to be everything and anything".

Like many young people, it can be hard to pinpoint exactly what roles will give our child purpose and work that they will enjoy. For Nawin, it meant narrowing down his ideas. The variety of high school experiences gave Nawin a better idea of the kind of work he liked doing and wanted to pursue after graduation.

Families of older children often say, "I wish I had known about that when my child was younger. I could have done more to prepare!" When our children are young, we have the opportunity to dream BIG about their future.There are many ways young families can begin to prepare for the future NOW. It's never too early to start.
