Sector Strategies for Career Pathways
|
|
With
entrepreneurial occupations
in every career cluster, adult educators need to have the resources available to help adult learners explore a career pathway that may involve entrepreneurship. The
Sector Strategies
section of PA Adult Education Resources is a good place to start exploring industry clusters, career pathway maps, and possible entrepreneurial occupation information. Having adults participate in group, project-based learning around industry sectors and starting a business is another way adults can explore career pathways while improving basic skills. To further support adult education practitioners on this topic, Workforce Development Project staff will present a webinar on March 26, 2020, from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. They will share ideas on how to use Marie Foxwell’s Entrepreneurship Curriculum in the adult education classroom and its alignment to the Career and Readiness Standards, Foundation Skills Framework, and the International Society for Technology in Education student standards. For more information about the webinar or customized technical assistance around entrepreneurial career pathways, please contact KayLynn Hamilton (
