Sign Up for Adult Numeracy in the Digital Era (Adult Ed Instructors)

WestEd is recruiting Pennsylvania adult education instructors for the Adult Numeracy in the Digital Era (ANDE) study for fall 2025. ANDE will help your students see the value of math in their lives while supporting the development of core mathematics and digital literacy skills.


ANDE offers a supportive and productive math learning experience that gives students the tools and skills to help pass exams, advance toward personal goals, and use math in everyday life. "Unplug and Play" from the National Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) Association shares great free resources to reduce summer screen time and help families stay active. ESL Community of Practice

The Professional Development System is excited to host an ESL Community of Practice on July 9, 2025, 1:00-2:30 p.m.  This session is open to all professionals supporting ESL learners. It will serve as a collaborative space to share insights and identify needs to address barriers English language learners face. Your voice matters! Upcoming May-July 2025 Professional Learning for Adult Education and Family Literacy Staff

Staff at PDE-funded adult education and family literacy agencies can view a list of upcoming courses now available for enrollment in the PD Portal. For more information about any of these courses, please visit the PD Portal, open the course catalog, and view the syllabus. If you are interested in enrolling in a course, please consult with your in-house professional development specialist (IHPDS) to determine if the course meets your professional learning goals.

Presentation Proposals for COABE 2026

The deadline for presentation proposals for COABE 2026 has been extended until July 31. This national conference for COABE will be in Indianapolis, IN, April 12-15, 2026. Anyone interested in presenting at the conference can submit a proposal application through June 30. Presentations can be in-person, virtual, or hybrid (both in-person and virtual). The conference session presentations will be 70 minutes long, but you can also present for three or six hours in pre-conference half- or full-day sessions.
