The OPL Library Board held its monthly meeting on January 18, 2024. Learn about our Board and review past board meetings on our website at opl.ca/board.

Highlights:

  • The OPL team discussed their achievements in 2023 and outlined the planned organizational goals for 2024, focusing on enhancing library services and community engagement.
  • The Civitan Club of Oakville has generously provided a $5000 grant to OPL. These funds will be used to purchase a new Rigamajig set for our branches, enriching our creative and learning resources.
  • On January 22, a PA day for Oakville schools, OPL will host a variety of special programs. Be sure to check out these exciting opportunities!
  • OPL has expanded its online resources to better serve our community. These new additions include access to The Economist via PressReader, a comprehensive collection of Historical Newspapers including the Toronto Star from 1894-2021, and onsite access to Oakville News at all library locations.
