OPL Board Meeting: January 2024 Highlights
The OPL Library Board held its monthly meeting on January 18, 2024. Learn about our Board and review past board meetings on our website at opl.ca/board.
Highlights:
- The OPL team discussed their achievements in 2023 and outlined the planned organizational goals for 2024, focusing on enhancing library services and community engagement.
- The Civitan Club of Oakville has generously provided a $5000 grant to OPL. These funds will be used to purchase a new Rigamajig set for our branches, enriching our creative and learning resources.
- On January 22, a PA day for Oakville schools, OPL will host a variety of special programs. Be sure to check out these exciting opportunities!

OPL has expanded its online resources to better serve our community. These new additions include access to The Economist via PressReader, a comprehensive collection of Historical Newspapers including the Toronto Star from 1894-2021, and onsite access to Oakville News at all library locations.
