Governor’s Revised List of "Non-life Sustaining" Businesses:
Updated Late Friday, March 20th

The Governor has updated the list of "non-life sustaining" businesses as of late Friday night, which now allows more manufacturers to qualify to remain in operation. To see the latest amended list, click here .

Enforcement Delay: Due to the high volume of waiver requests the Governor is delaying enforcement of the order that non-life-sustaining businesses in Pennsylvania must close their physical locations until 8:00 AM Monday, March 23.

Closure Exemption Appeal Process:
· Businesses seeking waivers and exemptions to the closure order can use our
Business Exemption Form for assistance.

· The state has also provided an email for exemptions: RA-dcexemption@pa.gov

· Contact by phone to ask questions about non-life sustaining businesses:

· The Manufacturers’ Association is also recommending that you also notify your state legislator of your exemption request. If you don’t know who your legislator is, please use our Advocacy website , clicking on My Officials, or by accessing the state legislator website – Find my Legislator.

· There is a Memorandum for the Defense Industrial Base, from the Under Secretary of Defense order, to remain in operation during the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak:

There is becoming an increased awareness that the Country has an urgent need for manufacturers to step up and produce critically needed medical equipment and supplies.
