The Fun Run is tomorrow in Central Park! There is still time to join the SSHS team! We currently have 42 registered runners and have raised almost $5000 for this awesome charity! Halloween Carnival - Monday, October 31st |

Get your costumes and pumpkins ready as the spooktacular PA Halloween Carnival is Monday! Please note, on Monday students will go directly upstairs to the classrooms at drop-off. Students are encouraged to wear costumes, but not required. Please be aware that students may not wear full face masks or bring weapons to school (swords, guns, lightsabers, etc). Inappropriate clothing is also not acceptable. If you signed up to volunteer feel free to come in costume too! There are still volunteers spots open, please click here to sign up for a slot or three! Family Mass and Pizza Social - Saturday, November 5th |

Our next Family Mass of the school year is Saturday, November 5th at 5:30 pm at St. Monica’s Church. There will be a pizza social immediately following in the back of the church. We hope that many of you can attend! Please use the link below to see volunteer and donation sign up options. All non-perishable donations can be placed in bins outside of school at drop-off on Friday, November 4th. Perishable items should be brought directly to St. Monica's before 5:30pm Mass. Next PA Meeting - Tuesday, November 8th (Virtual) |

In order to accommodate the busy schedules of our parent body, we will be having a mix of in-person and virtual PA meetings throughout the year. On Tuesday, November 8th at 6:30pm we will have our first virtual PA meeting of the year. A link for the meeting will go out the day before the meeting. We hope you can join us!

We will be collecting donations on November 14th and 15th for the Ronald McDonald House Parents' Pantry. The Parents’ Pantry supplies food, toiletries, paper goods and other necessities for families staying at Ronald McDonald House New York. LSA Clothing Drive - Thank you! |

Our clothing drive for LSA Family Health Services was a big success! Thank you to all who donated, Ms. McArdle and our 8th grade helpers, our parent volunteers and our wonderful Service Chair, Patricia Miller, for coordinating. Thanks to your generosity, we sent seven carloads of much needed items to LSA Family Health Services’ center in East Harlem.

We had another successful Used Uniform Sale this week! We want to thank Anita Alikaj-Jones, Allison Tucker and their dedicated team of volunteers that sorted through all of the donated uniform items and cleaned up the school store for the sale. You all did an amazing job! |
