🏫 Educator E-Blast 🏫

August 2025 Edition

Welcome September Fall Quote

Happy Autumnal 🍂 Equinox & official First Day of Fall!

September is a busy month, & this edition of our E-Blast reflects it! There is so much good stuff below! ⬇️

Ease into fall & sing "Belly Breathe" with Elmo & friends - 2:25 min. video Sesame St.

The Autumnal (or fall) equinox is the day in the year when day & night are about the same length (~ 12 hrs. each). This year, it is today - 9/22/2025. Today, the Sun is shining directly on the middle of the Earth (the equator), which means that everyone on Earth is getting about the same amount of daylight & nighttime. After today, days start to get shorter & nights get longer. Learn more about the Autumnal Equinox.

Consider Creating a Classroom Contract with your students. Creating a contract roots your class community in mutual respect, helping foster an inclusive & welcoming learning environment. To do this, communally set expectations for how members will treat each other. This will lay the foundation for a learning environment where everyone feels seen & heard. - from Facing History & Ourselves

If you're attending the Dive Deeper Water Educators Summit💦on Thursday, September 25, 2025, stop by our DCNR-Bureau of State Parks exhibit & say Hello 👋🏼 or attend our "Dive Into Aquatic Project WILD" session! We hope to see you!
