Fine Art

Painting is my way of holding on to the beauty I see around me. And the pastures, sunsets, fields and farms of our beautiful Agricultural Reserve hold a very special place in my heart. I love our serene and quiet backroads, our ferry rides over the Potomac River, all the seasons, and especially our gorgeous snowfalls. These are the images I photograph to take back to my Studio at Lindenwood Farm to paint. I think I love painting large canvases mostly because what I see before me is so big and so beautiful. But as a former Interior Designer, I welcome the impact large canvases create in an interior space, large or small. Our local beaches are also included in what I enjoy painting; the colors, motion, and peace of the water is a feeling I try to translate to the viewer, because that is the peace it gives to me.

All my work is done with a palette knife; and I use the one favorite tool I have had since I was a teenager. My work is represented by the Gallery at Sterling and Burke in Washington DC, and All About Art in Bald Head Island. It is also licensed by two leading art and puzzle companies. I am a member of the Countryside Artisans Group and the Rehoboth Art League, and I continue to enjoy exhibiting in these events and other local shows. Personal commissions are also accepted, and I so appreciate creating a special painting to document a personal place or occasion. They are usually meant to be a surprise, and that is just so much fun! All my work is professionally imaged and available in prints, cards, and giclees in all sizes.

My Studio is always open by appointment ( 302-651-1866) and I welcome visitors!

Hoping to see you!
