30th Annual "Spotlight on Education: New Teachers' Breakfast"

This year's "Spotlight on Education: New Teachers' Breakfast" on Friday, August 15th, was a great success, with over 100 attendees, including new Parma City School teachers, chamber members, and city leaders. Everyone enjoyed the hospitality of Tri-C Western Campus and a delicious buffet breakfast. More than 50 incoming teachers received gift bags with items generously donated by chamber members. We extend a special thanks to Old Brook High, Parma Campus, for their significant sponsorship. Dottie Wenger of the Parma Area Chamber of Commerce emceed the event (pictured below), which featured inspirational speakers who both welcomed and motivated our new educators. Many thanks to the following professionals, who gave of their time to speak at the event:

  • Dr. Michael Baston, President, Cuyahoga Community College
  • Dr. Rebecca Rahschulte, incoming President, Tri-C Western Campus
  • Dr. Scott Hunt, incoming Superintendent, Parma City School District
  • Mayor Anthony Biasiotta, City of Seven Hills

IN THE LIMELIGHT

Tony Stastny, a Parma resident, is a familiar face in our community. You might know him as an area director for BNI (Business Network International), the author of *52 Ways to Skyrocket Your Sales Career*, or the publisher of *The Next Level Business Magazine*. Tony is now primarily focusing on his real estate business, Tony Buys Houses LLC. He shared, "We buy houses for cash, and then renovate them to sell, keep, or move to other investors. This takes all of the moving headaches away from the seller (including dealing with any unwanted junk, furniture, and appliances.) The seller can just walk away with a check in hand."

Outside of work, Tony is a devoted grandfather to Chloe. He also enjoys bike riding and studying American history. You can call Tony (with no obligation) at 440-346-4056 or email him at tony@tonybuyshousesllc.com.
