Welcome Families! PACCNS President, Melissa DiTosto I am thrilled to take on my new role as president of the Parents Association (PACCNS) this year. After a decade as a parent here, I continue to be sincerely impressed by our community of teachers and families.  We have an amazing and talented group of volunteers organizing another fabulous year ahead. We are looking forward to working together with all of our families to enrich the lives of both the students and parents as we navigate these pre-school years together.

Meet Our New Staff At CCNS

Mrs. Subhra Roy who lives right here in Millburn is studying to complete her CDA. The Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential is a widely recognized credential in early childhood education (ECE). As part of her course work, Subhra needs to work in a preschool setting, so she will be volunteering here at CCNS, three days a week.

From Left to right Mrs. Jane Mason, who started here as a substitute, officially joined classroom 4 this year, assisting in one of the Pre-K 4’s class. Mrs. Yenira Morel started mid-year last year in the Drop In Center and has returned as an official Drop In staff member this year. Mrs. Melissa Mooney is teaching the five extended mornings 2’s class. Melissa holds a teaching certification and comes to us with previous preschool teaching experience. Mrs. Kathleen Ostrowski, who brings with her seven years of experience assisting in a 2’s class.

Book Fair & Parent Night Schedule ~ Plan Your Evening ~

PACCNS cordially invites you to Parent Night at CCNS. It will be held on Wednesday, October 16 , 2019. We encourage all of our parents to attend and remind them that this night is for adults only . See the schedule outlined below. 6:30-9:00 PM - School Book Fair - Our School Book Fair will be held in the gym and all proceeds support school enrichment programs.  7:30-8:00 PM - Classroom and Teacher Visits - Parents are invited to their children’s classrooms where the teachers will provide information regarding the daily schedule and specific goals and objectives for the year. 8:00-8:15 PM - Words from the Director - Back in the gym, our CCNS Directors will speak briefly on school curriculum, child development and school success. 8:30 PM - Parent Night Out - Meet up with other CCNS parents for some socializing! Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres held at the Racquets Club directly following Parent Night. A big thank you to Elizabeth Kullman, Carla Brown and Tami Mancinell for organizing one of our biggest annual events! We need your help to make this night a success, please volunteer using the Sign Up Genius below!

Outreach Committee October 7-11 - Winter Coat, Clothing and Blanket Drive It's time to clean out those closets for a good cause!  In an effort to encourage our children to think of others, the PACCNS Outreach Committee will once again be collecting new or gently used winter clothing, for both children and adults. C lass Parents Committee Class parents have been selected. We sincerely thank the parents who have stepped forward to fill these roles as well as all who volunteered to do so. Each class will be hosting a parent meeting soon. We encourage you to participate in your class meeting so you can meet each other and learn more about the school year ahead, specifically to your class. Let Drop In Help!

New this year at the Drop In: Parents may schedule early care from 7:30am – 8am or after care from 4:00pm – 4:30pm. Early and after care must be booked at least 24 hours in advance.  "For your child care needs, there is nothing better than the Drop In!   Childcare is provided for children ages 6 months - 5 years old at an hourly rate. You can set up a standing appointment, or you can use Drop In as-needed (with an appointment). Space is limited. Book early!   Hours: 8 AM – 4 PM Monday thru Friday Email the Drop-In

Thank You, Parents Than ks to the generous support from our wonderful group of parents, PACCNS was able to provide the school with several new trees planted this summer. In addition, new playground equipment was also added to our infant and toddler play area. We are extremely grateful for the generosity and continued support of PACCNS through our events and fundraisers throughout the year.
