Dearest PACE Division Members, |
I hope this newsletter finds you well. We are writing to update you on the latest happenings within our association and to remind you of the upcoming events and opportunities that are available to you as members.
First, we would like to thank you for your continued support and participation in the PACE Division. Your membership is important to us, and we appreciate all that you do to contribute to our mission.
In the past few months, we have been working hard to expand our member benefits and to provide new opportunities for professional development and networking. We have also been actively seeking out new partnerships and sponsorships to help support our mission and to bring added value to our members.
One of the upcoming events that we are particularly excited about is the Postsecondary Convening, which will be held in Colorado this coming September. This event will feature keynote speakers, panel discussions, and networking opportunities, and is a great opportunity to connect with other members and to learn more about the latest developments in postsecondary education.
In addition to the Postsecondary Convening, we also have the National Policy Seminar and webinars planned for the coming months, covering topics such as professional development, industry trends, and best practices. We encourage you to check out our calendar and to register for any events that you are interested in.
Don't forget to also check out our website here for additional resources and information, as well as to stay up-to-date on the latest news and events.
Cheers to the new year, and to the new opportunities that it may bring!

VISION 2022 Recap
The CareerTech VISION 2022 Conference was held in Las Vegas, Nevada, from Nov. 30–Dec. 3. Over 5,000 people registered for this event, a record-breaking attendance for this annual conference.
My deepest gratitude to John Noel (former PACE V.P. and Oklahoma PACE Leader) and our PACE Committee Co-chair, Brett Richardson (former PLSP Fellow) for not only compiling our treasured “Blue Book” but also to John who hand-delivered them to the conference. I would also like to extend a special thank you to Shawn Freie, the PACE Awards chair, who worked tirelessly alongside our judges, to monitor and review all PACE Award submissions.

A sincere thank you to PACE VISION Planning Committee Member, Xue (Cher) Xing who connected us with Irene Bustamante Adams who serves as the deputy director and chief strategy officer for Workforce Connections, Southern Nevada’s Local Workforce Development Board. Irene delivered the keynote presentation for the PACE Division Opening Session and Business Meeting. Her topic of Untapped Resources to Success was timely and sparked quite an interest for our attendees.
Additionally, my sincerest gratitude to PACE Leaders: Dr. Sophia Alston, Robb Lowe, Crystal Latham-Alford, Dr. James Perey and Brian Rick, who were major contributors to the success of our division’s programs at VISION.

An extended thank you to Jason Scales and this year’s PACE sponsor, Lincoln Electric for supporting the PACE Division and co-presenting the Postsecondary Lifetime Recognition Presentation to Bryan Albrecht, Ppesident, and CEO of Gateway Technical College in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
I was extremely thrilled for the number of attendees that we had for this event as well as for the turn-out during our PACE Reception that was held on the evening of Dec. 2.
The reception would not have been a success without the sponsorship and contributions from our friend of PACE, Lincoln Electric. Scales engaged our attendees with a brief overview of his organization and words of encouragement for advancing the work we are all doing for CTE and Adult Education. We were truly honored.
