MESSAGE FROM PAM

Hello everyone and Happy Thanksgiving!!

Many of you know that this is my favorite holiday. I love it for the simplicity of it, the fact that it's about highlighting gratitude, and enjoying time with people you care about. The other thing I like about it is the fact that you can celebrate in so many ways, whether it's honoring our gifts by helping others, filling a table with people you care about and food you love, spending the day watching football, or maybe simply being outside appreciating the beauty of where we live, there really is no exact way to celebrate it. Regardless of how you like to spend it, more than likely it reflects gratitude in some way. And yes, while I know that for many of us, there are traditional ways we may spend the day, it usually comes down to spending a little time thinking about giving thanks

I have learned over the years that living in gratitude helps me be as positive as I possibly can. I believe for me, it is what helps me solve problems, think through challenges, and come up with the best possible outcomes. I also know that gratitude is critical when you are part of a team. Appreciating the different talents each person brings to the table, acknowledging the efforts of others, and telling people that they matter and their contributions make a difference, all of those things stem from gratitude for circumstances you put yourself in or work in. I am immensely grateful for every single member of the team that makes up PACE.

Each and every one of you plays a critical role in making the work we do have the impact it does in our community. We wouldn't be us without you, and you make our world a better place. Thank you! For all of it!! I am immensely grateful for you all, and for the work we do every day! And on this Thanksgiving, as I sit around the table with my family and we talk about what we are thankful for, you all will be included in that list.

Rest and recharge. Have a wonderful long weekend and Happy Thanksgiving!!

Pam

Bright Spots

Today's Bright Spot is from PACE CCW/CFCE.

Today's nominee is Irline Perrin.

"I’d like to nominate Irline Perrin, our new CFCE Grant Coordinator. She is adjusting to her new role remarkably well, and I admire her leadership skills. She genuinely cares about our team and the families we serve. We are lucky to have her!"

PACE Holiday Party

Community Food Center

PACE has been fortunate to have received many donations this year for the 1st annual TurkeyMania. Many staff and neighbors have donated food and supplies for our food center. These donations are being distributed to over 500 of our food bank client families!

In addition, several local organizations have been very generous as well including The Friendly Sons of Saint Patrick New Bedford, United Way of Greater New Bedford, The Iron Order MC, and BASE Seafood Auction.

Thank You to Village Market in Westport as well for their donation to this year's Thanksgiving distribution! Village Market customers were asked to donate to PACE and they were able to raise over $500!

We are also very grateful for all of the volunteers who have been helping us with our Thanksgiving distribution including a group from LifeStream, Inc. and YouthBuild New Bedford.
