PACE of Northeast Indiana is Open!
A journey begun on January 26, 2018, officially ended with approval from
Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to open
PACE of Northeast Indiana on May 1, 2021.

With that approval, AIHS became the first Area Agency on Aging in the Nation to be the Sponsoring Agency of a PACE Program, the only AAA ever out of nearly 150 PACE Programs nationwide.

We are thrilled to have been joined on this journey by Parkview Health System who has provided clinical expertise complementing our social expertise.
PACE stands for 'Programs of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly' and is a Medicare and Medicaid program that helps people meet their health care needs in the community instead of going to a nursing home or other care facility. With PACE, you have a team of health care professionals working with you and your loved ones to make sure you receive the coordinated care you need.

PACE provides all care and services covered by Medicare and Medicaid, as well as additional care and services deemed necessary by the Interdisciplinary Team (IDTeam). PACE provides coverage for primary and specialty care, prescription drugs, medical transportation, hospital visits, dental care,
medical equipment, home care, as well as physical, occupational, and
speech therapy, and other services.

"We are eager to be at the forefront of offering this new model of integrated care to residents in Allen County," says AIHS President & CEO Connie Benton Wolfe. "This program is the first step where residents can receive the coordinated care they need to continue to live independently in the community.”

Thank you to Parkview Health System, MKM architecture + design, Weigand Construction & Old National Bank for making PACE of Northeast Indiana a reality.
