It is time to renew your PACFA license! All 2024 PACFA licenses expire on March 1st, 2025.


Don't wait until Saturday, March 1st to renew. The office will be closed for the weekend, and we will be unable to assist you with portal login issues.


Renewal season is an extremely busy time of year, and response times may be slower than usual. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us as soon as possible so we can best support you with the renewal process.

PACFA License Renewal Timeline

  • All 2024 PACFA licenses expire on March 1st, 2025.
  • Renewal applications submitted after March 1st. 2025 will automatically have a 10% late fee applied to the license renewal fee.
  • All licenses must be renewed through the licensing portal. PDF applications are no longer accepted by email, mail, or fax.

  • Use your full email address as the username
  • View your facility information, renew, and make edits to your license

Make changes to your license:

  • Add license categories

Close your license through the portal or send an email to cda_pacfa@state.co.us to notify us.

Annual Statistics Reports

Shelters, Rescues, Transporters, and Breeders Only!


All facilities that are required to submit their annual statistics report must do so on the PACFA Statistics Reporting Portal. The report must include data for all of 2024.


Report your statistics before you renew! The report generated in the statistics portal must be uploaded to the application when you renew your license.


New for 2025! Shelters and rescues that receive veterinary exemptions from the requirement to spay/neuter dogs and cats before adoption must report those exemptions at renewal under 35-80-106.4(2.5)(c), C.R.S. Reporting instructions are included in the statistics reporting portal.
