Animal Importation Requirements
Disease Control and Treatment (DCAT) Plan
 
On October 21, 2021, the Colorado Department of Agriculture and PACFA will hold a second stakeholder listening session to continue the discussion about establishing standards to enhance animal import requirements and to present the idea of requiring rules to require a Disease Control and Treatment Plan (DCAT) for anyone that imports animals into Colorado.
 
The goals of this meeting will be to:
  • Stakeholder Meeting Results - January 16, 2019
  • Overview of the Rulemaking Process
  • Present and Discuss the Concept of a DCAT plan
  • Other ideas to enhance import requirements for pet animals

Stakeholders will have the opportunity to comment and provide feedback on the need to establish any standards related to the enhancement of pet animal import requirements or the concept of a DCAT plan.
