| | PACP Member Check-In Meeting | | |
We introduced PACP Member Check-In Meetings, sponsored by YGM, last month...casual but meaningful opportunities to connect with fellow members via Zoom. These sessions are designed to give you space to ask questions, share challenges, exchange best practices, and hear what others across our chamber community are experiencing. Think of it as time set aside for just you and your staff —no long presentations, just real conversations and peer connection. The Board is implementing these check-ins as part of our focus on strengthening communication and collaboration across PACP this year.
Our next meeting date is scheduled for:
Monday, August 24 – 10:00am

Be sure to click the link and complete the short registration form so that the system will share the actual Zoom meeting link with you. The meeting will be scheduled for an hour.

Working Together to Advance PA’s Competitiveness Through Bipartisan Leadership
As Chambers of Commerce, our efforts to drive Pennsylvania’s economic competitiveness forward require more than good ideas, but unyielding collaboration between business leaders and policymakers. Since its formation early last year, the PA Competitiveness Caucus – a bipartisan, bicameral group of lawmakers – has been spearheading those efforts, working steadily with the PA Chamber toward enacting policies that will fast-track Pennsylvania’s economic growth. The PA Chamber will also be hosting a Women in Business Conference on April 2 at the Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square. Click here for more information and to register.

| | Greater Reading Chamber Alliance | The Chamber will host a new State of the County event with Berks County Commissioners on Friday, March 20. This premier program will feature a data-driven presentation followed by a panel discussion with the Berks County Commissioners. Commissioners Christian Y. Leinbach, Michael Rivera and Dante Santoni, Jr. will examine county-level economic trends, priorities and opportunities. By leading with data and grounding it in real-world decision-making, the State of the County is designed to spark informed dialogue, shared understanding and forward-looking conversations about Berks County’s opportunities and challenges. | | The Chamber is pleased to welcome Delta Quinones as their new Director of Membership and Engagement. | | |
Robert S. Carl, Jr., President and CEO, and Samantha Chivinski, Executive Vice-President of the Chamber, recently joined economists and business leaders from across the country at a national briefing on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. examining the escalating economic toll of America’s child care crisis. The event marked the release of a new ReadyNation report finding that the lack of access to affordable, high-quality child care now costs the U.S. economy $172 billion every year in lost productivity, earnings, and tax revenue. The analysis expands earlier research to include families with children under age five, capturing the full economic impact prior to kindergarten. Click here to read the full press release.
