| | | Over 700 People Celebrate Engineering & Manufacturing with PADT at Nerdtoberfest | | |
We were worried we could never top the success of our 30th Anniversary and Nerdtoberfest 2024. We were wrong. We had 801 people registered, and on top of that, a bunch of people (you know who you are) showed up even after we sold out. Which was just fine with us. Our estimate is between 650-750 people joined us in the parking lot to celebrate this growing and vibrant community.
This blog post covers all the big highlights, Nerdtoberfest by the numbers, and a big photo slideshow.
| | | | PADT Announces Partnership With Rapid Fusion, Bringing New Additive Manufacturing Solutions to North America | | PADT has been involved in additive manufacturing since our founding in 1994, and we always have our eyes and ears open for new technologies and new partners that can bring new and needed capabilities to our advanced manufacturing customers. We found just such a technology and partner with Rapid Fusion, a leading provider of Large Format Additive Manufacturing (LFAM) systems based in the United Kingdom. | | | | Amping up Application Engineering Skills in 3D Printing: AE Tech Days at Stratasys/Penske/NASCAR | | Sometimes, to get ahead, you just have to get away – and then focus. Recently, I had the chance to do just that during the Stratasys AE Tech Days training event held at Penske Racing in Charlotte NC. Admittedly, the awesome surroundings tugged a bit at the focus but it was all in the spirit of identifying, understanding, and improving applications of 3D printing inside industrial environments. | | | | X-energy Partners with Centrica for UK's First Advanced Modular Reactors | Centrica and X-Energy have announced their entry into a Joint Development Agreement to deploy X-energy’s Xe-100 Advanced Modular Reactors in the United Kingdom. The companies have identified EDF and Centrica’s Hartlepool site as the preferred first site for a planned U.K. fleet of up to 6 gigawatts. | | |

Ansys LS-DYNA is the most used explicit simulation program in the world and is capable of simulating the response of materials to short periods of severe loading.
PADT’s engineers have been using this tool since it was a government code called Dyna3D. We can’t say enough about the power and flexibility of this software tool. It’s rare that our answer to the question, “Can you do this type of difficult simulation?” with, “LS-Dyna can probably do it.”

Built around industrial-grade components and a flexible architecture, Apollo combines high-speed pellet extrusion with precise robotic control.
At the core of Apollo is the Rapid Fusion PE320 Pellet Extruder, designed for consistent high performance. It’s paired with our Epicurus Controller Pro, an open-source, customizable control system, alongside its robotic arm, Modular Heated Bed, Air Plus Kit, Smart Loom Pro, and pellet drying unit.

| | | PADT Serves as Awards Sponsor for 2025 AZBio Awards | | |
The crowning event for AZ Bio Week is always the AZ BioAwards. PADT is once again this year's Awards sponsor. The artwork AZBio provides for its awards is something all winners are proud to display on their walls.
It was a great event where we were able to catch up with some of PADT's customers and celebrate with most everyone that supports our local Biotech ecosystem.
Check out the pictures from the event and these attractive awards.
