Pacific women's tennis player,  Maya Lopez,  joined the team prior to the start of the dual match season and is already off to a strong start.

The freshman from Boca Raton, Fla. has adjusted quickly to Division I tennis with a win in her first collegiate match at the Fullerton Spring Invite earlier this month. Later at that same tournament, she would go on to defeat a doubles team from Arizona with her partner, freshman  Jacquie Tan . Currently, she is 2-2 in singles play and 2-1 in doubles.

"We are extremely excited to have Maya as a member of the Tiger family. She is an exceptional young lady who brings a lot to our program on and off the court," head coach Mike Erwin said. "She's had an instant impact and displayed the work ethic, competitiveness, and spirit we're looking for from our squad. We see her playing a big part in the resurgence of Pacific Women's Tennis."
