Pacific baseball is off to their best start in program history as they won their first 6 games and are now 7-1. The season kicked off on the 16th as the Tigers hosted Chicago State in a doubleheader and came out on top in both games led by their pitching. Senior lefty Ricky Reynoso and junior righty Ryan Shreve dealt with the Cougar hitters to combine to toss 14.0 innings with 18 strikeouts, 8 hits, and 3 runs. Pacific's offense combined for 11 runs between the two games as they came away with their first two wins.

This past weekend, the Tigers took 3 of 4 from Sacramento State, a team that won 35 games last season. After suffering their first loss of the season on Saturday, Pacific bounced back with a 6-2 win on Sunday over the Hornets. A two-run home run by junior catcher, James Free, in the first inning got things going and Hayden Pearce picked up a five-inning save to close out the game. The Tigers return to action Friday when they host Seattle for four games in three days at Klein Family Field.
