Jahlil Tripp Signs Exhibit 10 Contract with the Grizzlies

Former Men's Basketball player, Jahlil Tripp, officially signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Memphis Grizzlies.

Fresh of a historic senior season at Pacific that saw Tripp be named the 2019-20 WCC Defensive Player of the Year, the Brooklyn, N.Y. native becomes the first Tiger to reach the professional ranks of the NBA since Michael Olowakandi was drafted number one overall by the Los Angeles Clippers in 1998.

"Jahlil grew up right in front of our eyes," said head coach Damon Stoudamire. "He allowed us to push him and responded to every challenge along the way. His perseverance, leadership and hard work is unmatched, so there is no doubt in my mind that he will have success in his career going forward. I don't need to talk about the basketball part because he's a better person! He has been such a joy to coach both on and off the court and I know he will continue to make all of us proud."

Wrapping up his career in the Orange and Black, Tripp put the finishing touches on a splendid career this past year by propelling Pacific to its first 20-win campaign since 2010-11 and a share of third place in the final regular season conference standings. Proving to be a force no matter the opponent, he also led the WCC with 11 double-doubles in addition to finishing atop the conference in rebounding with an average of 8.9 per game in 2019-20.
