Hello PALM family!
We are unpacking and settling into the building, and it is truly beginning to feel like home again. Thank you for your continued support during this transition. Your patience, encouragement, and leadership have helped make this moment possible.
We are slowly getting started, and the energy is building.
Remote programs resumed on March 2nd, and our Grab & Go lunches have resumed as well. Members have already stopped by, and it has been wonderful to welcome familiar faces back through our doors. Volunteers are onsite supporting the move and helping us prepare for full operations
PALM Ribbon Cutting & Grand Reopening
Friday, March 27, from 10:30 - 2:30 PM
On March 27, we proudly celebrate more than a ribbon cutting. We celebrate renewal, resilience, and a renewed commitment to the older adult community we serve.
The week of March 1, we begin restoring our programs and services, bringing energy, connection, and community back into our main location. From wellness initiatives to social engagement, PALM is returning with purpose and excitement.
This reopening represents months of preparation, partnership, and perseverance. It reflects the dedication of our staff, board members, community leaders, partners, emergency personnel, and especially our members who stood with us every step of the way.
Our Grand Reopening celebration on March 27 will feature:
- Official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
- Special Honors
- Keynote Address by Estelle Walker of PA Health and Wellness
- Forever Together Home
- Trinity Wealth Securities
- Main Line Health
- Vaccination Clinic
- Community Vendors
- Spring Into Healthy Eating showcase
- PALM Memorial Paver recognition
- A host of engaging activities, including bingo, games, crafts, card games, and playing pool
- Refreshments will be served
We strongly encourage guests to
confirm their attendance in advance.

We are honored that state and local elected officials, the Masons, members of the police department and fire department, healthcare partners, and many community leaders will join us. Having that level of external support is truly an honor, as it affirms that we are fulfilling our mission and building lasting, meaningful partnerships within the broader community.
At the same time, we are equally thankful for our members, whose continued engagement and presence speak volumes about the impact of our programming. Your participation, your patience during this transition, and your commitment to returning week after week reflect the strength of what we are building together.
The fact that you continue to show up, support PALM, and believe in our work reminds us that our programs are not just offerings, they are meaningful experiences that make a difference. Your presence is what makes PALM home, and this celebration is a reflection of all of us.
We are bringing our programs back with even more exciting, innovative activities designed to support wellness, joy, creativity, and meaningful connection.
This is not just reopening a building. It is reopening opportunity, laughter, fellowship, and care.
Please Hold the Date
March 27, 3026, from 10:30 - 2:30 PM
and plan to join us as we officially
welcome our community back home.
We are excited. We are prepared. And we are ready to welcome you home.

Incase You Missed It
Spring is nature’s way of saying, “Begin again.”
| | |
On Sunday, March 8 at 2:00 AM, we spring ahead and move our clocks forward one hour.
While we trade a little sleep, we gain something beautiful: longer afternoons, softer evenings, and more time for walks, fellowship, programs, and meaningful connections.
At PALM, every new season is an opportunity to nurture wellness of mind, body, and spirit. As the days grow brighter, so do the moments we share together.
Longer days are ahead… and so are we. 🌞
Do not forget to set your clocks forward before bed Saturday night!

In Memory of William "Billy" Hearn
It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our proud PALM member, William “Billy” Hearn, who passed away on December 12, 2025.
Billy was a devoted man of faith and a proud member and Deacon of Zion Baptist Church, where he served faithfully for many years. He also served honorably in the United States military, reflecting a lifelong commitment to service.
At PALM, Billy was more than a member, he was a true friend. He fully embraced PALM programs and activities, including PALM Bible Study, and loved singing, dancing, playing games, and bingo. His joyful spirit and warm presence uplifted everyone he encountered.
Billy leaves to mourn his passing his son, Maurice Adderton, and daughter-in-law, Natisha “Tee-Tee” Adderton, along with a loving family. He was also the brother-in-law of Viola Hearn, a current PALM member, and her husband, who preceded Billy in death.
Billy Hearn will be deeply missed by the PALM family and our community. We are grateful for the memories we shared and the light he brought into our lives.

In Memory of Mr. Richard Mayo
PALM remembers and honors the life of our beloved member, Mr. Richard Mayo, whose presence brought warmth, friendship, and dignity to our community.
Mr. Mayo was a long-time and devoted member who supported PALM programs and events with enthusiasm and generosity. He was an avid pool player and shared his passion for the game by teaching students at the Ardmore Avenue Community Center, leaving a lasting legacy of mentorship and encouragement.
He was known for his compassionate spirit and willingness to help wherever needed. Mr. Mayo often volunteered to assist with event setup and cleanup, always offering his time with kindness and humility. A lover of music, he enjoyed PALM’s jazz gatherings and was an active participant in our sing-alongs.
Mr. Mayo could often be found participating in chair exercises alongside his dear friend and fellow PALM member, Rodney Bussey Williams, demonstrating the joy of friendship and the importance of staying active and engaged.
He was also known as a dapper dresser, always arriving in a beautiful sweater and polished shoes, representing the older adult community with dignity and pride.
Mr. Mayo frequently spoke with great love about his family, who were clearly at the center of his heart. His kindness, spirit, and commitment to the community will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
PALM is grateful for the time we shared with Mr. Mayo. His memory and legacy will always remain a cherished part of our community.
