Dear Palmers,

I'm writing to let you know that the Rev. Alex Easley has received and accepted a call to serve as the Rector of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Seguin, Texas, which is located in the Diocese of West Texas between San Antonio and Austin. As you will recall, Alex was appointed by Bishop Doyle to serve as Palmer's Curate for a period of two years to learn as much as possible about being a priest while participating in the Curate Program with other peers in the Diocese of Texas.

Taking this next step in her ordained ministry is a natural part of that process for Alex. She is excited about this new chapter that will soon unfold, and we should also be joyful with her. I'm sure that Alex will have much to tell us about her new congregation in one of the oldest towns in Texas. In consultation with the Bishop's office, her farewell celebration has been set for Sunday, May 21. We'll have a festive reception that morning between the 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. Choral Eucharists.

Additional details about that and next steps for Palmer will be forthcoming in the weeks ahead. In the meantime, let us give thanks in this Easter season for all that has been and all that shall be. Alleluia!

In the peace of the risen Christ,

The Rev. Neil Alan Willard, Rector
