Greetings!
I hope your 2020 is off to a great start. I’m humbled to share that in 2019, PAN helped nearly 170,000 people who otherwise would not have been able to start or stay on critically-needed medications.
I recently heard from Cynthia, a patient with rheumatoid arthritis, and her message captured why we remain focused on advocating for lower out-of-pocket costs and raising awareness about charitable assistance.
“One of the biggest problems for me, when trying to find assistance, is that I live on the West Coast and many of the foundations are located on the East Coast. When they open a fund, usually at 9 am ET time, it's 6 am here and I’m not usually up searching for funding at that time.
With
Fundfinder
, I get a notification when a fund opens and I can apply before the money runs out. Fundfinder makes a really big difference in my life. It saves me time, energy, stress, anxiety and sleep. Thank you!”
With each year that passes, we grow more committed to ensuring no one goes without care because of cost. This means that we’re prepared to do everything possible to support you as you apply for assistance and manage grants for your patients.
If there's anything we can do to help, simply reply to this email.
Kind regards,

No matter which patient assistance foundation you utilize, it’s important to note that there will always be requirements to maintain an active grant for your patient.
At PAN, our Grant Use Policy ensures that patients are actively receiving treatment. This allows us to maximize donations and help more patients.
We require that a claim must be submitted and paid every 120-days throughout the patient’s eligibility period.
If a claim is not paid in this timeframe, your patient’s grant will be canceled, and funds will be released to provide assistance to other patients in need. If your patient needs assistance later, you may reapply for assistance on their behalf, pending fund availability.
If you have any questions, please call us at 866-316-7263, M-F, 9am to 7pm ET.
Kindly,
Audrey Quartey
Manager of Provider Relations

How to Maximize Your Patient's Grants
|
|
Is your patient’s treatment only once or twice a year?
Help them keep their grant active by letting us know.
Our Grant Use Policy requires PAN grant recipients to be currently in treatment, scheduled to begin treatment in the next 120 days or have had treatment in the past 90 days.
We recognize that your patient’s treatment may not fit within the 120-day timeframes of the Grant Use Policy.
If their treatment is only once or twice a year, and you or your patient receives a letter from PAN indicating that their grant must be used soon, please call us at 866-316-7263. We will take this under consideration.
