PE SPOTLIGHT

MUSIC SPOTLIGHT

In music this quarter, the elementary students are learning about pitch. We will be learning our "solfege" scale and playing games using the Kodaly syllables and hand signs that represent the pitches of the major scale.

This week's bonus music challenge was to sing the most famous song of all that contains these notes: "Do re mi" from the Sound of Music! Their fantastic bonus challenge recordings can be viewed by clicking the link found here: "Do Re Mi" Challenge

When we shifted from inperson to homeschooling she made sure we received all the items needed so that we were not behind. The ice breaker is when she makes each child feel special by listening to them. Even though they keep interrupting the classes with their none school related stories ( they are many!). Mrs. Nord is a true gem."
