The PAPREN Post

June 2023

It's been a great year! We appreciate PAPREN members for your enthusiastic participation and help making our Network grow and thrive.

As usual we'll take a summer break from Grand Rounds and Network calls in June and July. We'll return with a Network call in August featuring the Intersections Initiative, a yearlong collaboration among America Walks, the League of American Bicyclists, and the Safe Routes Partnership supported by CDC as part of Active People, Healthy NationSM. The Initiative aims to build capacity to apply for infrastructure funding to support active and public transportation projects and identify the policies and practices that make this a reality. There will be an overview and ideas about research opportunities related to federal infrastructure funding.

Network call recording available

Our May Network call featured our annual report-out from the evaluation survey and a VERY lively chat discussion as people responded to prompts and each other. Many fresh ideas were offered and we're sifting through the wealth of information to shape the next year of PAPREN. You can access the recording here.
