It's the middle of summer and it's hot! For PASC things are heating up. Many great things are happening in our program now and in our future. As always, we have a lot to celebrate and a lot to share.

PASC IS FEATURED IN THE ONLINE GALLERY'S 11TH EDITION QUARTERLY ART MAGAZINE

 

PASC has been featured in the magazine/art book The Online Gallery’s 11th Edition, "𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘖𝘎: 𝘊𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘴, 𝘊𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦, 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘺" alongside eight other Detroit artists and art programs, Tyrrell Winston, Library Street Collective, Lakela Brown & Tiff Massey, Marco Castillo, Gisela McDaniel, Jason Revok, Amani Olu, and Akea Brionne.

Gorman's Furniture Art Reception

Gorman's Home Furnishings & Interior Design will be partnering with nonprofit organizations dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities through the arts, to present artwork by their artists in their showrooms. Gorman's will showcase the incredible talents of approximately 30 artists, from PASC, Soul Studio and Paint a Miracle Art Studio.

 

On Wednesday July 31, from 6-8pm, Gorman's will host an opening art reception at their 29145 Telegraph Rd, Southfield location on where guest will be able to meet artists and purchase artwork. Proceeds from sales will go directly back to the respective nonprofit organizations. Following the reception, Artwork will be available for sale in Gorman’s showrooms in Southfield, Troy and Novi during the month of August.

Participating Artists: Jerri Burks, Sereal Crawford, Ashley Hawkins, Ronald Griggs, Keisha Miller, Alsendoe Owens, John Peterson, Thomas Saunders, and Marear Smith, and Aaron Taylor. 

 

People Are People is an exhibition of 53 portraits of known and unknown persons that seeks to portray the diverse and complex task of representing the human form. The exhibition features artworks by nine PASC artists, showcasing the distinctiveness of their styles of representation. This exhibition also features a mural size painted title-wall by PASC artist Sereal Crawford, announcing the show in his distinctive graphic style. And a silk-screened T-shirt, available on our website, also featuring the same design.

REJOICE

Rejoice presents the celebratory nature of the summer and the sunshine of expanding community. In this group exhibition, featuring artists from all three PASC studios. The artwork of Rejoice emits a lightness in the colors, the abstraction and the figuration, celebrating the multiplicities of identities that our artists and our wider community represent. The artwork of Rejoice invites in the larger community through an act of creative collective exploration.
