Revenue Committee

Come join the Revenue Committee in kicking off 2024! The committee will meet on January 18th, at 3:00 PM. Eric Bostick will be presenting on Hot Topics in Financial Reporting and Accounting.


Eric Bostick joined EY in 2015 and is an Assurance Senior Manager on the

Hess Corporation Financial statement audit. He has been a leader in the

digital innovation program at EY, focused on utilizing data to automate and

streamline audit procedures. He has 8 years of experience auditing E&P

companies and is a CPA.


He has resided primarily in Texas, where he graduated with a master’s

degree in accounting from Baylor University. He has also resided in Lake

Placid, New York and Park City, Utah



Description: Discussion and Overview recent accounting pronouncements most applicable to oil and gas entities, the latest SEC staff comment letters and trends, and highlights from the most recent EY US oil and gas reserves, production and ESG benchmarking study.

 

Learning Objective:


By the end of this presentation, you will be able to:

1. Discuss recent accounting pronouncements and potential considerations for oil and gas entities.

2. Identify ongoing FASB agenda projects and selected project status updates.

3. Analyze trends and observations from SEC activities and trends in SEC staff comment letters that may affect oil and gas entities.
