PODCAST
With a new spin to our rich traditions of the annual PASH picnic, we will be hosting Mark LaCour and Paige Wilson of Oil and Gas Global Network (“OGGN”) to record a live podcast (yes, live!!) of Oil and Gas This Week podcast (“OGTW”) – “the show for busy oil pros who want to quickly keep their finger on the pulse of the industry”!
OGTW podcast has been around for more than 10 years, and there are several more podcasts under the OGGN umbrella. In 2023, OGGN was selected by Corporate Vision for the Best Energy Podcast in the U.S.!
In this podcast, Mark and Paige will provide recent oil and gas industry news and updates, and discuss the potential risks and opportunities presented by these events. Additionally, there will be networking opportunity after the events to engage with Mark and Paige!

The JI and Audit committees would like to present Deb Retzloff as the May speaker.
She will be discussing ‘Emerging/Recurring Issue: Produced Water Management – A Discussion in Cost Sharing Considerations for the Oil & Gas Industry’.
Deb retired from ExxonMobil in February 2013 after 32 years of service and is currently an independent consultant. During her career Deb served over 25 years in joint interest accounting and auditing functions, including training development for two SAP implementations. She is also a COPAS Energy Education (CEE) instructor and developed the JIA – Joint Interest Audit course.
Deb joined COPAS through the Dallas Society in 1995 and served as the Joint Interest Committee Chair for that Society until her move to Houston in 2000. She has been an active member of PASH since that time, having served two terms on the PASH Board of Directors. She served as PASH President in 2008-2009. Deb served on the COPAS Board of Directors beginning in 2009 and ended her 2nd term on the Board at the end of 2015. She served as COPAS President during 2014.

Description: This presentation will provide an overview of why produced water management in the oil and gas industry is so important and how companies are developing solutions to problems which arise due to water scarcity in some production areas and regulatory constraints associated with fracking operations.
Learning Objective:
By the end of this presentation, you will be able to:

Gain a better understanding of why produced water is such an important issue in the oil and gas industry.
- Gain perspective on the issues between operators and non-operators.
- Through group discussion arrive at an understanding of cost sharing equity for parties using produced water vs. recycled water.
