Membership Dues


Membership invoices were emailed out August 15, 2022. If you didn't receive your invoice, please contact our Treasurer at pashtreasurer@gmail.com and/or pashmembership@yahoo.com. We will get your invoice to you for payment.  Please notify us if you no longer have an interest in PASH/COPAS membership.

A quick reminder that voting representatives in committee meetings must be members in good standing. Members with unpaid dues at the October meetings will be unable to vote.

If you have changed jobs and/or if your contact information needs to be updated, please contact pashmembership@yahoo.com. We can assist you in getting it updated on our newsletter blast, the treasury records and the COPAS records.

 

If you have not paid your dues by Monday, October 31, 2022, you will be dropped from PASH & COPAS.

Revenue Committee

Come join the Revenue Committee in learning about IRS Form 1099 Best Practices. The committee will meet on October 13th at 3:00 PM. Mr.  Keith Cothroll, The Law Firm of Keith A. Cothroll, PLLC, will be our speaker.


A native Texan who grew up in El Paso, Texas. He attended the University of Texas at Arlington where he majored in Political Science and was chapter president of Pi Sigma Alpha, the national political science honor society. Mr. Cothroll graduated with a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law in 2005.

 

Mr. Cothroll has worked for over thirteen years defending individuals and small businesses in IRS audits and collection procedures throughout the country. He has litigated tax matters before the US Tax Court in Houston, Texas. Keith Cothroll also does consumer bankruptcy work in the Southern District of Texas.

Education Committee 


The Education committee held its second meeting of the year Thursday, September 29, 2022, via ZOOM.   Thank you to all those that joined us.

 

Our next meeting will also be held on Zoom on Monday, November 14, 2022. Meeting login info will be published closer to the meeting date.

 

This committee meeting will continue to focus on Education Day speakers and the Scholarship program. Please email Jacque (pasheducation@gmail.com) if you plan to participate in this meeting and want the paperwork before the meeting.

 

We will be hosting a Fall Education Day virtually on November 8th. We have 4 speakers lined up with CPE available. Please look for the registration information coming soon.

 

Ethics course – Location nor date has been confirmed. Watch for information in the upcoming newsletters.

 

Scholarships - The committee will discuss the Scholarship program for April 2023.

Audit Committee

Good day PASH Audit Committee! Our October meeting will be back to normal with just the Audit Committee on Tuesday, October 13th from 3 – 4:30 pm IN-PERSON at the Whitehall Houston.


We will be discussing Auditing in a remote environment and how to deal with challenges within the industry for accessing documentation and audit protocol. If you have any questions or suggestions ahead of the meeting, feel free to contact Chris Pry at cpry@pooleaudit.com or Emily Boone at eboone@pooleaudit.com

Golf and Picnic Committee

The Golf and Picnic Committee will be meeting for the first time this year on October 13th after the JI and Audit Committee meetings at 4:30 pm. The current date for the Tournament and Picnic is May 15th. We are looking forward to a fun year of planning and looking for new members to join our committee. Dinner Speaker/Topic 

Please feel free to gather with your friends, colleagues, and PASH family to hear our dinner speaker this month, Roger Gann. He will be delivering a presentation on Oil and Gas Payouts. 



Roger is currently the CEO / President of Martindale Consultants, Inc. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1995 and started working for Martindale. While at Martindale, he has performed or overseen hundreds of contract compliance audits, covering both onshore and offshore drilling, completion and LOE expenditures as well as revenue and related deductions, on thousands of properties. Martindale, itself, provides domestic and international contract compliance audits; joint venture, revenue, and regulatory accounting; and litigation support services to the oil and gas industry.


Since 1995, Roger has been a member of COPAS, participating both at the local and national level on various committees. He has served as President of COPAS Oklahoma City, Audit Committee Chair of COPAS Oklahoma City, Emerging Issues Chair and CEPS Control Panel Chair at the national level, and he has served on several COPAS drafting committees, the latest being co-chair on the new 2022 COPAS Accounting Procedure.
