PASL, Texas Strikers Coming to Ford Arena

9/26/12 - The Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL), enjoying a summer of unprecedented growth, announced the addition of the Texas Strikers for the 2012/13 season.

The Strikers, owned by the Noble Investment Group, will call Ford Arena home.  Ford Arena in Beaumont, Texas opened in November, 2003 and has a capacity of 6,500 for ice hockey and arena soccer.

"We're looking to have a great season," said Strikers Managing Partner James Germany, "and we're we're thrilled to bring the exciting, fast-paced sport of arena soccer to the Southeast Texas area."

The Strikers will be coached by Chris "Topper" Cogan, a former player, coach, and general manager of the SISL's Lubbock Lazers and Premier Arena Soccer League (PASL-Premier) Lubbock San Devils. Cogan is currently Assistant Coach of the Lamar Cardinals women's soccer team.

Tickets will go on sale at the end of the month and the team website will reside at upon its completion.

About Professional Arena Soccer League and Premier Arena Soccer League

The PASL is a professional league which began play on October 25, 2008.  The league, entering its fifth season, consists of US teams, the CMISL (Canada), and the LMFR (Mexico).  The Dallas Sidekicks, Harrisburg Heat, Las Vegas Legends, Rockford Rampage, Sacramento Surge, Real Phoenix, and Texas Strikers have been added for the 2012/13 season.  The Tulsa Revolution and Tucson Extreme have been added for the 2013/14 season.  The PASL-Premier just completed its 15th season as the nation's top amateur arena soccer league.  The PASL and PASL-Premier are members of Federacion Internacional de Futbol Rapido (FIFRA).
