Highlights
Building Resiliency: Combining Social-Emotional Learning and Equine-Assisted Learning for Youth at Risk
Tamara Merritt
Many youth today are experiencing great challenges, which ultimately can undermine their long-term well-being and health. Discover how one center created an experiential program combining Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and Equine-Assisted Learning (EAL) both in the classroom and in the arena to increase self and social awareness, relationship skills, decision making, and self-regulation.
Working with Parents During Stressful Times: Impact of Ambiguous Loss Karyn Searcy & Kaitlyn Siewert The purpose of this presentation is to review the development of parent-child (p-c) interaction from ages 0-3, and how that process is often impacted by the discovery that your child has a developmental disability or delay. We will compare and contrast the traditional trajectory of p-c interaction and the impact any diagnosis may have on families.

Rescheduling Workshop and Certification Events
|
|
In observance and support of the increased number of extended shelter-in-place and stay-at-home mandates, the association has made the decision to suspend all PATH Intl. on-site events through May 31, 2020. This primarily impacts workshop and certification events as all region conferences initially scheduled within this time frame have already been rescheduled.
Extensions will be granted to candidates impacted by this additional delay to on-site events. Please forward questions about extensions to Melissa Bryant.
We hope this news isn't a disheartening development. The decision to suspend on-site events has been made to support the health and success of candidates, faculty, center staff and the individuals they serve so that all may resume their invaluable activities as quickly as possible. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.Thank you for your patience as we navigate through this tough time together!

Recent phishing schemes have been made using the PATH Intl. name in an attempt to gain "gift cards" from the recipient. PATH Intl. has updated its website to help slow the spam attempts using the association's name. PATH Intl. does not contract with third-party companies to sell its mailing list or member data. Please disregard any such fraudulent company solicitations.
Phishing is the attempt to obtain sensitive information such as usernames, passwords and credit card details (and, indirectly, money), by disguising as a trustworthy entity in an electronic communication. Read more.

Center Renewal Grace Period Extended
|
|
In response to centers that had to suspend services due to the current situation, PATH Intl. will extend the member center grace period until April 30, 2020. Centers may also renew with a payment plan to reduce the immediate financial impact. Contact Karen Province at [email protected] for more information.
The center late fee and the payment plan fee have also been waived for centers during this difficult time.

During these stressful times and difficult circumstances, we know it is important to keep positive. We asked members at region conferences and elsewhere to share why they belong to PATH Intl. We'll highlight some great responses in each PATH Intl. eNews and on social media!
"I love the education, support and connection with
other like-minded, gifted individuals with a
love for helping others and their
equine partners."
Nancy Leslie
Thank you, Nancy!
