ATTENTION: Currently Certified PATH Intl. Registered Therapeutic Riding Instructors
In anticipation of the Registered Therapeutic Riding Instructor certification program phasing out at the end of 2020 and being replaced by the PATH Intl. Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor (CTRI) certification program, remember that transition to the PATH Intl. CTRI credential must be completed no later than December 31, 2020 in order to maintain active PATH Intl. Therapeutic Riding Instructor certification into 2021. Watch this short video tutorial to learn about the process.

Get your transition started by completing payment for the CTRI Maintenance Fee to initiate enrollment in the online test. (Please allow three business days for enrollment.) Once you've successfully passed the test, fill out the CTRI Transition Form and email it to certificationcompliance@pathintl.org to finish the transition process. It's that simple! Questions? Contact Brittney Holdman.

Riding To The Top, a PATH Intl. Premier Accredited Center in Windham, ME, will host a research study on the benefits of therapeutic riding.
The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus (CU Anschutz) in Aurora, Colorado, in collaboration with the Maine Medical Center Research Institute, has been awarded a $2.5 million grant to study why therapeutic horseback riding benefits children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), particularly children who have co-occurring psychiatric diagnoses.

A previous study by Principal Investigator Robin Gabriels, PsyD, a CU Anschutz researcher and Children's Hospital Colorado psychologist, showed that a 10-week therapeutic horseback riding intervention reduced irritability and hyperactivity while improving the social and communication skills of youth diagnosed with ASD.

The Maine portion of the study will be conducted at Riding To The Top Therapeutic Riding Center (RTT). The research will begin this summer at Riding To The Top.  Read more
