Equine Tips From the PATH Intl. Equine Welfare Committee
Equine Advocate Skills
By Molly Sweeney, PATH Intl. Equine Welfare Committee Member
Any program that is equine assisted or facilitated requires specialized skills and resources to promote the optimal well-being of the horses. Optimal well-being promotes the fullest engagement of the horse, and that in turn produces the best results in the participants. A horse who is honored and respected, and who is in balance physically, mentally, psychologically, emotionally and energetically can handle the pressure of working with participants with special needs. To maintain that balance, the horse needs consistent, on-going, holistic care outside of the working sessions.  Read more

2018 PATH Intl. Conference - Stay Tuned
In the association's efforts to reduce costs for the annual conference, PATH Intl. has  tried contracting with different kinds of facilities in which to hold the conference in 2018. At this point, efforts have not been successful and have set us back on our timeline for procuring a location for the conference. We are continuing our efforts and hope to announce a location and dates soon. We appreciate your patience as we explore ways to continue the PATH Intl. tradition of high-level education at the annual conference.

We want to hear from women of all ages and walks of life to gather a collection of stories to inspire others on this journey. Submissions should be 500 to 800 words in length and should include a photo, artwork, technique or something that was significant for you in the healing process. You are welcome to pass this information on to others whom you feel would have a story of healing the world would be inspired by.
