Thank You to Donors!
As we wrap up the 2012-2013 fiscal year, PATH Intl. says "thank you" to its 300+ members who donated this year over and above their membership.  Donations--with a median gift of just $25--added up to over $45,000 to help cover the costs of instructor certification, center benefits such as the Foundation Directory, and media outreach to raise awareness of therapeutic horsemanship among the general public. Thank you!
Keep Track of Equine Health
If you need help keeping records on your horse's health, PATH Intl. sponsor Bimeda/Equimax can help. Bimeda/Equimax has a free Equine Health Record available at www.equimaxhorse.com. While there, sign up for their enewsletter to receive special offers on dewormers and other products.

PATH Intl. Announces 2013 Region Award Winners
congratulations fireworks
A big congratulations to all the winners and nominees!

Every year, PATH Intl. centers and members nominate the very best equestrians, certified professionals, veterinarians, volunteers and equines serving at PATH Intl. Centers, and we are pleased to announce the regional and equestrian award winners. Each year becomes more difficult to choose from among the outstanding nominations. This year, PATH Intl. received an astounding 227 nominations, demonstrating once again the high quality of service our centers offer. It takes a lot of time and thought to nominate someone, and we thank everyone who nominated someone. (Remember that  nominations are now accepted year round.) A special thank you also to our judges for making the difficult decisions.

Bimeda Volunteer Award Winner for June
The June winner of the Bimeda Volunteer Award was Brea Riley of Ride With Pride, Inc., in Staunton, VA. She has been a volunteer for more than six years, and Ride With Pride notes, "Her leadership skills and quiet confidence have matched her genuine compassion for both the horses and the participants."

Congratulations, Brea!

Your center can recognize and thank a volunteer. Nominate a volunteer from a PATH Intl. Center, and he or she will have a chance to receive a "Thanks for Your Time" Bimeda $50 American Express gift card. In addition, Bimeda will donate a 25 dose pack of Bimectin, Exodus and Equimax dewormers to the volunteer's center. Visit Bimeda Equine for details.

PATH Intl. Field Test Standards Now on Community Connections

The Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International Standards for Certification and Accreditation is a document that is constantly evolving as the EAAT industry continues to grow and develop. Any new standards proposed or standards that are rewritten to the extent that the intent of the standard is altered are offered to the association members in the form of Field Test Standards for comment and critique. Traditionally, member input has been solicited only at accreditation site visits, regional conferences or the PATH Intl. Conference. In an effort to extend the opportunity for input to the members of the association, current Field Test Standards are now posted online in PATH Intl. Community Connections

All PATH Intl. members are encouraged to read and post comments on the current Field Test Standards. With strong member input, PATH Intl. will continue to lead in the promotion of best practices for safety and service in the industry.

PATH Intl. Supports American Horse Council Welfare Code of Practice

PATH Intl. has added its name to the list of supporters of the American Horse Council Welfare Code of Practice.

The AHC Welfare Code of Practice outlines in generic terms what it means to be an organization that is committed to the responsible breeding, training, care, use, enjoyment, transport and retirement of horses. Signing this code is one indication of that commitment on behalf of and as an advocate for our centers.
