TIME TO CELEBRATE! PATH Intl. Member of the Month
50th anniversary logo_ blue logo with green banner_ 1969 to 2019
Today we introduce you to the second of two PATH Intl. members of the month for May, Boo Martin!

Boo Martin in pink shirt with two dogs_ Grace and Honor
Isabella (Boo) Martin retired early in 2018 after running PATH Intl. Premier Accredited Center Touchstone Farm, home of Horse Power, in Temple, NH, for 47 years! She first joined PATH Intl. 32 years ago and her member number is 504! Initially Boo joined because she loved the people. She listed names that might be familiar to some-people like Marj Kittredge, Lyda McCowan, Pat Mullins, Bill Scebbi, Michael Kaufmann, Barbara Rector, Leslie McCullough, KC Henry, Molly Sweeney...the list goes on and on.

Boo Martin in carriage with participant_ two black horses_ Buster and Charlie_ driving in autumn field "Mostly," she says, "I wanted to be a part of what was happening in the profession of therapeutic riding...back then, we did not use the term therapeutic horsemanship because it was all riding. I was enthralled that there were other people out there who were doing the mental health part of horses. It was exciting to find fellow travelers! I have never left, nor have I ceased to be excited by the direction of PATH Intl."  Read more
Membership Database FAQ Highlight
Thank you to all the members who have provided feedback on the PATH Intl. member portal. Staff has been able to make some of the suggested changes to provide you a better user experience. From your feedback, we have put together FAQs and created a new how-to video on renewing your membership. Here are answers to two questions that have come up:

1. What is the best way to use the Find a Center page?
The Find a Center page looks a little different now that it links directly to the database. The easiest and best way to search is to use the search field in the green banner. If you know the name of the center you wish to find, enter it there. If you are looking for a list of centers in a particular state, type in the state name (no abbreviations). This will give you the widest range of results possible. If hitting "return" does not work, click the blue search button. (In the left column, you'll find boxes to check for disabilities served, services and programs offered, and whether a center is PATH Intl. Premier Accredited. The office is still working to make sure all the center information is correct, so thank you for your patience!)

2. Where can I find the PATH Intl. Standards Manual?
You can visit the Standards Manual page on the PATH Intl. website by clicking here. This will give you the option of purchasing a printed copy of the PATH Intl. Standards for Certification and Accreditation or accessing the online copy. Both options will take you to the store. Sign in to your account to download the online copy (free for members). You will then find it in your downloads section.

Call for Scholarship Judges
PATH Intl. is now seeking volunteer judges to help in the 2019 scholarship process to read and score essays. This is a rewarding volunteer opportunity as each essay read is encouraging, challenging and inspiring.

  • Each essay is scored on a scale from 1-10.
  • The PATH Intl. office will provide clear guidelines and forms on how the nominations are to be evaluated and scored.
  • The judging process requires a time commitment of approximately 10 to 15 hours between June 21 and July 5.
Applicant Requirements:
