PATH Intl. Center Renewal Due December 31st

Thank you for your commitment to safety, ethical practices and professionalism in equine-assisted activities and therapies. To ensure that PATH Intl. continues to provide your center with premium education and to maintain uninterrupted access to the wealth of benefits available to PATH Intl. centers, please renew your center membership by December 31.

Online center renewal is now available. Online registration makes it especially easy to renew your registration before it expires. With the elimination of paper, you'll end any worry about losing your form on the desk or in the mail.

Click here to renew online. NOTE: The center's primary contact or executive director must be logged in to their personal account in order to renew online.

If you need to update the primary contact for your center, please send in a center change notification form or a premier accredited center change notification form.

Of course, if you prefer to send in a hard copy renewal, that is still an option. Download and complete the center renewal booklet and renewal invoice, and mail it in.

Click here to download the center renewal booklet.

New this year, centers that prefer to pay by check may now complete the Center Renewal booklet online and mail a check for center membership dues.

Two Scholarship Opportunities for PATH Intl. Instructor Candidates
The EQUUS Foundation is pleased to announce the PATH Intl. Champion of Equine Service Certification Scholarship to financially assist prospective instructors who achieve champion status to obtain a PATH Intl. Registered Instructor Certification. The EQUUS Foundation will award one scholarship to cover the registration fee up to $1,000 for the recipient to attend a PATH Intl. Registered Instructor Certification Workshop.

For more information about the champions program, the PATH Intl. Scholarship and how PATH Intl. members can achieve champion status by volunteering, visit the EQUUS website.

logo PATH Intl. will continue an innovative partnership with the American Paint Horse Foundation designed to help train therapeutic riding instructors. This alliance, which was founded in 2013, provides scholarship assistance to potential PATH Intl. instructors. While open to anyone with skills in equine management, horsemanship, instruction, teaching methods and disabilities, preference for scholarships will be given again to medical professionals.

The average cost to participate in a PATH Intl. certification workshop and test, which takes place over three days, is $800. The American Paint Horse Foundation seeks to assist individuals interested in certification through the awarding of one-time, $800 scholarships.

Learn more about how the foundation benefits the lives of American Paint Horses and their enthusiasts at aphfoundation.org.To apply for an American Paint Horse Foundation PATH Intl. scholarship, email Jan Anderson or call her at (817) 222-6414. Doctoral Research Study Seeks PATH Intl. Participation
Leslie Stewart, a doctoral candidate in Georgia State University's Counselor Education and Practice Program, is investigating the knowledge, skills and attitudes required of competent practitioners of Animal Assisted Therapy in Counseling (AAT-C). She is seeking experts in the area of AAT-C to participate and is hoping that PATH Intl. Certified Instructors may be represented in the study.

If you decide to participate, you will complete a demographic form about yourself, your education/training, clinical practice and other relevant experience. You will also be asked to complete a structured electronic questionnaire. If you have any questions about this study, please email Leslie directly.
