November 5, 2019

Busy Office!
A reminder, if you couldn't tell, it is conference week this week. While we will be having fun with a large number of attendees, we know that the majority of our members are still in their homes, barns and regular jobs. Thank you for keeping everything running!

The PATH Intl. staff is busy getting everything ready for the conference and 50th anniversary celebration. Staff will periodically be out of the office starting Wednesday through Friday, so response times to phone messages and emails may be slightly longer. Thank you for your patience, and we will get back to normal as soon as possible!
Cash Drawing at Conference! PATH Intl. Premier Accredited Center Appreciation and Center Member Cash Drawings
A generous, anonymous donor who deeply believes in PATH Intl., the value of PATH Intl. Center Accreditation and the significance of the association's anniversary has made a significant and fun donation to this year's international conference! At the direction of the donor and to thank PATH Intl. Premier Accredited Center (PAC) representatives in attendance, all PAC representatives are encouraged to enter a drawing for $1,000 cash! One center will be randomly selected from entries and the cash recipient will be announced at the awards luncheon on Saturday, November 9, 2019. Entry forms will be at the silent auction check-in table in the exhibit hall from 12 noon to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, November 8, 2019. Forms will be counted to ensure only one entry per center in attendance is allowed. All entries must be received by 7:30 p.m. Friday, November 8, 2019.

Your center not a PAC (yet)?
Thanks to the same generous donor, PATH Intl. Center Members are also eligible to enter a separate drawing for $500 cash! If the selected center chooses to apply for PATH Intl. Accreditation in the following 12 months, a second $500 will be contributed to their accreditation application/process fees! One center will be randomly selected from entries and the winner will be announced at the awards luncheon on Saturday, November 9, 2019. Entry forms will be at the silent auction check in table in the exhibit hall from 12 noon to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, November 8, 2019. Forms will be counted to ensure only one entry per center in attendance is allowed. All entries must be received by 7:30 p.m. Friday, November 8, 2019.
Conference Attendees: Pack an Extra Bag!
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of PATH Intl., the association received a substantial in-kind donation from JT International/ Tough One. Thanks to this donation there will be all sorts of fun giveaways at the conference. From registration bags to door prizes and favors, attendees will be loaded up with great items including tack, grooming products and other gift items. Registrants might want to pack an empty bag just for all their goodies!
Congratulations
Join the association in congratulating the more than 1,200 PATH Intl. Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructors who have transitioned to the new credential, paving the way toward building recognition of the PATH Intl. CTRI credential! Graduate Student Survey: East Carolina University
You are invited to participate in a research study titled "Exploring the potential inclusion of child life professionals in equine-assisted activities and therapy" being conducted by Rachel Robinson, a graduate student at East Carolina University in the Human Development and Family Science department. Click here for the survey. The goal is to survey 250 individuals through Qualtrics. The survey will take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. It is hoped that this information will assist us to better understand the knowledge that equine-assisted activities and therapies personnel have about the field of child life and their attitudes toward incorporating child life specialists into the equine-assisted activities and therapies team. Please call Rachel Robinson at (509) 332-9201 for any research related questions or the Office of Research Integrity & Compliance (ORIC) at (252) 744-2914 for questions about your rights as a research participant.
