Longhouse Council - Pathways - July 30, 2021
Vol. #3 Issue #24
53rd Annual SCOUTPOWER Event

Thanks to Astronaut COL Michael Fossum our 2021 SCOUTPOWER event was a huge success we raised over $250,000.00 to help send Scouts to camp and keep the other programs of Longhouse Council fulfilling the mission of providing leadership skills to the youth of Central New York. Thank you to all who came out to support this wonderful event.
This year, our focus is “weird science”. By participating in day camp, the scouts will learn about the scientific process and how science is used in everyday life. They will have the opportunity to explore beyond the mundane, and perform wacky and fascinating experiments, while at the same time having fun, exploring our natural world, and fostering lasting friendships.
The Longhouse Council will offer 4 Weeks of Scouts BSA Day Camp, held at Camp Woodland. Save the dates!!
Week 2: Eagle Quest - August 2-6, 2021 (Details)
Week 3: Skilled Trades - August 16-20, 2021 (Details)
Week 4: Great Outdoors - August 23-27, 2021 (Details)
Cost: $225 per Scout per week. See program details above.
National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) is an exciting, action-packed program designed to provide all 13 to 20 year old youth members of the Boy Scouts of America with leadership skills and experience they can use in their home units and in other situations that demand leadership of self and others. Training of our youth leadership is important in helping the youth and their units to grow. Over the years the Boy Scouts of America has refined and developed this week-long training experience. Youth from your unit are invited and highly encouraged to participate.

NYLT is open to all Scouts BSA members 13 and older as well as all Venturing Scouts and Sea Scouts. Please remember that this includes both male and female.
